Making a Plan

Having all important information in one place can make a significant difference for your loved ones in the event of your passing.

It ensures that critical documents, such as insurance policies, wills, funeral wishes, and list of important people to contact, are easily accessible.

This saves your family from the stress and confusion of searching for essential paperwork and people during an already difficult time.

By organising everything in a single location, you provide clarity and reduce the risk of missed benefits or wishes, allowing your loved ones to focus on grieving and healing instead of administrative burdens.

To help with this, we have put together a document we have named the ‘Emergency Locator’.

What’s in our
Emergency Locator

  • List your Primary Contacts
Here you can list who do you trust the most to take control of your wishes and works well under pressure. Here you can also name your most trusted professional such as your Lawyer or Insurance Adviser to take action.

  • Your Personal Information
We have a page dedicated to keep track of important personal information about you such as D.O.B, your IRD number, employer details and their contact details.

  • Relatives to Notify
Finding all of your relatives contact details can be stressful at an already stressful time.
In our Emergency Locator you can list your relatives contact details in one easy place.

  • Friends to Notify
Who are your support system? The friends that are you know that will support your loved ones and honour your wishes? They may be childhood friends, work friends or instant connections you made in your adult life.

  • Plan your own Funeral
This page can be the hardest to fill out. Thinking about your funeral is the last thing we want to do after a long day at work or on your weekend. Here you can plan things like the music you want played, flowers you love, who you would like to speak and if you want to be buried or cremated.

  • Advisers to Notify
It is hard to keep track of all your Advisers who have helped you during your time.
Here you can have in one place who your important advisers are such as your Lawyer, Financial Adviser, Life Insurance Adviser and Fire and General Adviser.

  • Key People to Notify
Here you can list key people outside of family, friends and professionals that you want to be involved in looking after your family. This includes your Pastor/Priest/Celebrant you want to speak at your funeral, your Enduring Power of Attorney, Trustees or Executors and the holder of your Will.

  • Important Documents Locations
If someone had to step in to your shoes tomorrow, could they find everything? We recommend that you consolidate all documents into one place at each locations. Here you can list where all of your most important documents are stored or whom looks after them.
